Both ORAL and POSTER presentations are REQUIRED.
Camera Ready Deadline was November 17th!
CMT link for submission is: https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/WACV2015/
Please submit your paper’s title, authors, abstract, and list of topic areas to the online submission website one week prior to the paper deadline in order to allow us to start the process of assigning reviewers while you finish polishing the paper. The site will remain open for new submissions after this, but registering your paper early will help the review process.
A complete paper should be submitted in camera-ready format, except for author names and affiliation, using the same formatting guidelines as the primary PAMI TC conferences (CVPR or ICCV). All reviews are double-blind, so please be careful not to include any identifying information. All papers should be submitted as PDF files (10 MB maximum).
Accepted papers will be allocated 6 pages in the proceedings, with the option of purchasing up to 2 extra pages for US $100 per page to offset the additional reviewer time and publication handling for longer papers. This extra-page fee is to be paid after paper acceptance at the time of registration for the conference. The length of the submitted paper should match that intended for final publication, so if you are unwilling or unable to pay the extra charge, you should limit yourself to 6 pages.
WACV 2015 Author Kit [zip]
You may also submit supplemental materials to assist with the review. These may include videos, additional images or other results, or appendices. Please note that the submitted paper should be as self-contained as possible and that these materials should supplement not complete the content of the paper.
All supplemental materials are must be zipped into a single file, or you may submit a single PDF file for non-video materials. In either case, the maximum file size for the supplemental materials is 10 MB.
Two Round Review Process:
WACV 2015 has adopted a two-round of review process that is similar to journal submissions to provide the authors with additional chance of defending and revising their papers, to make the best use of reviewers’ time, and to achieve an overall quality consistency among the accepted papers.
For the Round 2 deadline authors may submit either a new, previously un-submitted paper -or- resubmit a paper that was submitted in Round 1 and received a decision of “Revise and Resubmit”. Papers that received a “Reject” decision in Round 1 may not be re-submitted in Round 2. We hope authors will utilize the reviewers’ comments on papers rejected in Round 1 to enhance their manuscript and submit elsewhere.
Instructions for Round 2 Resubmissions
We strongly encourage the authors of resubmitted papers (only “Revise and Resubmit” category from Round 1) to prepare a ‘rebuttal and list of changes’ in response to the reviewers’ comments in the first round.
– In the submission process, please indicate whether the paper is a resubmission. The CMT system will ask for this and we will also verify. Providing incorrect information might lead to a rejection.
– The resubmitted papers will be assigned the same reviewers and AC’s from the first round whenever possible.
– The ‘rebuttal and list of changes’ should be appended to the paper pdf. Please do not submit your rebuttal as a supplementary material.
– The page limit for the ‘rebuttal and list of changes’ is 2. This is in addition to the body of the resubmitted paper. Thus, the total length of the submitted document must not exceed 10 pages, i.e., 8 pages max of the paper plus 2 pages max of ‘rebuttal and list of changes’.
Please note this does not apply to new papers submitted in Round 2.
All papers submitted for WACV must represent original, unpublished work.
Dual submission elsewhere is not permitted.
By submitting a manuscript to WACV, the authors assert that it has not been previously published in substantially similar form. Furthermore, no paper which contains significant overlap with the contributions of this paper either has been or will be submitted during the WACV 2015 review period to either a journal or any conference (including WACV 2015) or any workshop. Papers violating this condition will be rejected.
If there are papers that may appear to the reviewers to violate this condition, then it is your responsibility to: (1) cite these papers (preserving anonymity), (2) argue in the body of your paper why your WACV paper is non-trivially different from these concurrent submissions, and (3) include anonymized versions of those papers in the supplemental material.
All work submitted to WACV is considered confidential until the papers appear. Note the conference will be publishing electronically TBD, about 2 weeks before the conference, so plan any patent dates accordingly.
